In order to make your own pre-loop type of crochet extensions for braiding or twists, fold the hair over the rod and braid or twist the hair as if you where installing the extensions. Then slide them off the rod and use a zip tie to store them for later use.

The right crochet hairstyle starts with careful prep. Wash and condition your hair, making sure to detangle it properly. After washing and detangling, apply a leave-in conditioner, oil and styling cream using the LOC method.
