6 D.I.Y Products Using Aloe Vera Juice For Your Hair

I have been on this aloe vera juice kick and I’m not stopping anytime soon. I have always heard about aloe vera juice for the hair from some of the top natural hair YouTubers like naptural85 but I never really tried it myself until now. Aloe vera is known to be a great anti-inflammatory and anti-microbial properties within it. Lately, I have noticed that my crown area has been sensitive. Also, a certain area near my edges has a small bald patch and was having dandruff in my hair. I mean, my hair was just not acting like itself since my second son. Once I started taking care of my diet and exercise portion. I thought about what about trying aloe vera juice instead of my usual water and leave in the mix to see what happens. I saw Walmart had a huge gallon of aloe vera juice on sale for 6 dollars so why not. Before I start getting into all the products that you can begin to make with aloe vera. Let’s discuss the actual benefits it has for your hair.

Benefits

* Repairs dead skin cells on the scalp * Leaves hair smooth and shiny * Promotes hair growth and improves blood circulation * Prevents itching on the scalp * Reduces dandruff * Conditions the hair

Now, looking at each benefit can you see why this was the product I chose to experiment in my natural hair healthy journey. So, now I want to show how you can add aloe vera juice or gel if you don’t have juice. as part of your hair care regimen.

Shampoo

1. Aloe vera juice, honey and essential oil of your choice The honey is going to draw in the moisture into your hair. You want to put this in an applicator bottle and begin to mix well. 2. Apple Cider Vinegar 2 Tbs and 1/4 cup of aloe vera juice or gel Apple Cider Vinegar is going to clarify any product buildup in your hair while the aloe vera is going to repair the dead skin cells on your scalp while also providing the added benefits as I mentioned above. You also want to put this in an applicator bottle or spray bottle and mix well. 3. 3 tablespoons of aloe vera gel or juice, 1 teaspoon sweet almond oil, 1/2 teaspoon vitamin E oil and 1 cup liquid castile soap In a bowl, add liquid castle soap, aloe vera juice or gel, sweet almond oil, and vitamin E oil. Stir this up and transfer into an applicator bottle

Condition (Hair Mask)

  1. 1/4 cup of coconut oil, and a tablespoon of aloe vera juice or gel

Blend both ingredients and leave in for 10-30 minutes then rinse. What this will do is help strengthen the hair as well as calm an irritated, itchy scalp. 2. 2 tablespoons of aloe vera gel or juice and 1/2 teaspoon of organic Ceylon cinnamon powder Mix these two ingredients together and make sure there are no lumps within the mix. Once it’s done apply the mask all over the hair and scalp. This mix will cause your scalp to tingle which shows that the mix is working. Put a shower cap over your head while the mixture is in your hair for 10-15 minutes then shampoo it out.

Leave-In

  1. Aloe Vera Juice, coconut or olive oil, and water, 2-5 drops of vitamin E

This is my staple leave in and if I don’t have any other oils mention I at least mix in aloe vera juice and water. This DIY spray has made my hair extremely soft and easy to work through tangles. If my hair even feels tangled I make sure to spray this leave-in first because usually, my hair is dehydrated when it’s tangled. Mix this together in a spray bottle and begin to spray your hair. I usually spray my scalp and the ends of my hair before drying and I have noticed it’s being easier to detangle, softer and smoother experience. Have you tried aloe vera juice in your hair care regimen? What other products have you tried that has worked for you?
