We already have done things to our natural hair like chemicals, or extreme heat to have longer hair with less frizz. We actually have tons of products in the store and online that cater to our hair. But, using all natural products has been a huge hit this year. Women are coming up with out of the ordinary ways to be able to grow their hair. I remember last year the inversion method was big. After hearing about the inversion method it really shocked me. If you dont know what the inversion method is it’s where women literally hang upside down from a chair or bed to get the blood circulating to their head for hair growth. After hearing women willing to hang upside down for hair growth it had me interested in finding out more. So, I researched other ways women have gone out of their way to achieve hair growth. Now, with this list I’m about to give you these are all using food items that you might have in your home right now. I hope you’re ready and if you have tried one of these you have to let us know how it worked for you below.
1. Onion Juice
Now, this has been going around how onion juice is supposed to help with hair loss. Onions are high in sulfur, which improves blood circulation and provides hair follicles with nourishment. It is also said to help with scalp infections that help with hair loss such as receding hairline or bald area on the head. Here is one of the recipes for this phenomenon. Women mostly do it two times each day.
Recipe:
The process is to be able to get the juice from the onion. You will have to peel a lot of onions that will be enough juice for your hair. You will have to cut the onion into pieces and place it in a blender or food processor and pour in 3 tablespoons of water. Once you finish with the right consistency, you put the onion in a cheesecloth and begin to squeeze the juice out.
How to use it:
Use a cotton ball and add the onion juice to the scalp or if you only want it on the bald patch areas you can simply put it in that area and leave it in for 30 min to 1 hour. Afterwards, you can rinse it out and follow with a shampoo to remove the smell. Try this method out for a month or two, if you do not want to do it 2x per day. You can also try it 3 times a week and see how that works out for you. If you don’t want to shampoo the hair each time co-washing will also work.
2. Rice water
This year has been about the rice water for hair growth on YouTube and other social media channels. It is said it’s supposed to help the hair become smoother, shinier and help with hair growth. Rice water is the water that is left over after it has been soaking. It is said to be in high in vitals that promote hair growth such as amino acids, B vitamins, minerals and vitamin E.
Recipe:
The quickest way to do this method is through soaking. 1. Soak 1 cup of rice in little over 1 cup of water on medium heat 2. Wait until rice soaks up all the water and becomes mushy/soft. I like to check it by taking some rice out of the pan squeezing the rice between my fingers if it mushier easily it should be done. One method is once it’s done, strain the rice water into a clean bowl. If you want to use double the amount of water for the rice to get more in one time that can work as well. If you want to make a different version like rice oil. What you can do is once it finishes soaking and the rice is done. You would transfer the rice into a food processor, then add olive oil and castor oil. Let the rice sit in the oil for 10 minutes. Then afterwards, you would strain it into an applicator bottle.
How to Use it:
You can wash your hair with shampoo, rinse out. Then pour rice water onto the hair then begin to massage the rice water into the hair and scalp for 30 minutes then rinse thoroughly and proceed with your styling process. If you are using the oil method you can use up to 1-2 times a day. Yet again see what works for you it could be 1-2x a week if it begins to be too much for each day.
3. Ginger Treatment
Now, this is another method that’s now being used to grow or regrow the hair. Ginger has in an ingredient called ginger that relaxes blood vessels and improves circulation to the scalp. It also contains magnesium, potassium, phosphorus that helps with nourishing the hair follicles making them strong and preventing hair loss.
Recipe:
1. Take 2-3 fresh diner roots and wash them well 2. Chop them into small pieces 3. Put them in a blender or food processor with 2-3 tablespoons of water and grind them and mix the paste 4. After the paste is ready to squeeze out the juice in a strainer or you can use a cheesecloth to extract the juice 5. Add ginger juice into 2 teaspoons of melted coconut oil or olive oil 6. Mix it together
How to Use it:
Gently apply the juice on your scalp and leave it on the bald patches. Then give yourself a nice scalp massage and leave it in for 30 minutes. Then wash it off with shampoo. You can use this 1-2x a week. Before you apply the juice in any of these areas, it’s always good to do a patch test first to make sure you do not get an allergic reaction. Do you think you would try any of these methods? Or have you tried them let us know any tips or results you may have had?
